Terms of Service
Typid Events
Last Updated: May 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Typid Events ("Typid," "we," "our," or "us") at events.typid.ph and related services, including event pages, ticketing, checkout, and organizer tools. By creating an account, publishing an event, or purchasing tickets, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Our Role
Typid Events provides software for event organizers to sell tickets, manage orders, check in attendees, and track event finances. Unless we state otherwise in writing:
- Typid is a technology platform, not the organizer, promoter, or venue of any event
- Typid is not a bank, e-money issuer, or licensed payment service provider
- Each event is run by an independent organizer who is responsible for the event itself
- Contracts for attendance are between the buyer and the organizer; Typid facilitates the transaction tools
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an organizer account or accept payouts
- Buyers under 18 may purchase tickets only with permission from a parent or guardian
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
3. Organizer Accounts & Responsibilities
If you publish events on Typid, you agree that you will:
- Provide truthful event details (date, time, venue, pricing, capacity, and policies)
- Honor valid tickets and run the event as described, or offer appropriate remedies if you cancel or materially change the event
- Configure payment instructions accurately when using direct (manual) payments
- Review and respond to orders and payment proofs in a timely manner
- Comply with applicable laws, including consumer protection rules under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), where they apply to your event
- Not use Typid for fraud, scalping in violation of law, illegal goods or services, or misleading listings
You are solely responsible for your event, refunds (unless otherwise required by law), customer support for attendees, and any tax obligations related to your ticket sales.
4. Ticket Purchases (Buyers)
- Ticket prices, availability, and event policies are set by the organizer
- Completing checkout creates an order subject to payment confirmation rules described below
- Each attendee ticket may include a unique QR code for check-in; tickets are not transferable unless the organizer allows it
- Unless the organizer or applicable law provides otherwise, ticket sales may be non-refundable once payment is confirmed
- You must provide accurate contact information so tickets and updates can be delivered
5. Payment Methods
Depending on what the organizer enables for an event, checkout may use one or both of the following:
5.1 Direct payments (organizer instructions)
- The organizer publishes payment instructions (for example GCash, bank transfer, or Maya)
- You pay the organizer using those instructions outside Typid's card processing flow
- You upload proof of payment and a reference number at checkout when requested
- Your order remains pending until the organizer (or their team) reviews the proof and marks the order as paid in the dashboard
- Typid may provide tools to help match proof to orders but does not guarantee automatic approval
- Funds for direct payments are received by the organizer, not held by Typid as escrow
5.2 Online checkout (PayMongo)
- Some events use hosted online checkout powered by PayMongo Payments, Inc. ("PayMongo"), a third-party payment processor
- Supported methods may include QR Ph, GCash, GrabPay, Maya, and card payments, as shown at checkout
- Card and wallet details are collected on PayMongo's secure hosted pages; Typid does not store full card numbers or CVV codes
- When PayMongo confirms payment, your order is marked complete automatically and tickets are issued according to the event configuration
- PayMongo's own terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing
Typid is not responsible for outages, declines, or delays caused by PayMongo, banks, e-wallets, or telecom networks. If a payment fails, do not assume you have a valid ticket until you receive confirmation from Typid or the organizer.
6. Fees
Fees may apply as follows (amounts are in Philippine Pesos unless stated otherwise):
- Buyer service fee (PayMongo checkout): An additional platform service fee may be added at checkout. It is calculated as the greater of ₱40 per ticket or 3% of that ticket's price, multiplied by the number of tickets in the order. This fee is shown before you pay.
- Organizer share (PayMongo checkout): The organizer's credited ticket revenue is based on the ticket subtotal (after any organizer-approved discounts). Payment processing costs charged by PayMongo are not deducted from the organizer's ticket subtotal in our standard checkout configuration; they are accounted for within Typid's service fee structure.
- Withdrawal fee (organizers): When an organizer requests a payout of available PayMongo-tracked balance, a flat fee of ₱15 is deducted from the requested amount before disbursement. The net amount is sent to the payout method on file (for example bank transfer via InstaPay where supported).
- Direct payments: Typid does not charge buyers an additional Typid service fee on the standard organizer-instruction checkout flow; organizers receive payments directly per their published instructions.
We may update fee amounts by posting revised Terms or showing new fees in the product before they apply. Taxes, foreign exchange, or bank charges imposed by third parties are separate unless we state otherwise.
7. Organizer Balances & Payouts
- PayMongo checkout sales may appear in an organizer balance view after payment is confirmed; available amounts can be reduced by refunds, adjustments, chargebacks, or pending settlement rules
- Organizers must provide accurate payout details (account name, account number, and receiving bank or wallet) and keep them up to date
- Withdrawal requests are reviewed and processed by Typid administrators; timing depends on verification, PayMongo wallet transfer status, and banking cutoffs
- Typid may reject or delay payouts if we suspect fraud, legal risk, incorrect payout details, or violations of these Terms
- Typid is not liable for delays caused by incorrect organizer payout information or third-party transfer failures after we initiate a disbursement
8. Refunds, Cancellations & Chargebacks
- Refund policies are determined by the organizer unless mandatory law requires otherwise
- For PayMongo payments, chargebacks or disputes handled by banks or PayMongo may result in reversal of credited balances or orders; organizers are responsible for cooperating with reasonable documentation requests
- Typid may cancel or void orders that are fraudulent, duplicate, or inconsistent with event capacity
- If an event is cancelled, contact the organizer first; Typid will provide reasonable tools support but does not guarantee refunds unless required by law or our separate written agreement
9. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Typid to:
- Violate any law or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
- Sell tickets to illegal events or for unlawful purposes
- Upload false payment proofs or manipulate orders, check-in, or financial reports
- Attempt to bypass fees, access controls, or security measures
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the platform without permission
- Harass users, staff, or partners
10. Intellectual Property
- Typid's software, branding, and platform content are owned by Typid or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws
- Organizers retain rights to their event names, images, and materials; you grant Typid a limited license to host and display that content to operate the service
- You may not copy or resell the platform without written permission
11. Disclaimers
- Typid Events is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free checkout, or that every payment proof will match automatically
- We are not responsible for organizer conduct, event quality, safety, or cancellations
- Nothing in these Terms is financial, legal, or tax advice
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Typid and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Typid Events shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Typid for the specific event or transaction giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one thousand Philippine Pesos (₱1,000). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply only to the maximum extent allowed.
13. Indemnification
Organizers agree to indemnify and hold Typid harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from their events, listings, payment instructions, refunds, tax obligations, or breach of these Terms. Buyers agree to indemnify Typid for misuse of the platform or fraudulent payment activity attributable to them.
14. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts, withhold payouts, or remove events if we reasonably believe you:
- Violated these Terms or applicable law
- Pose a fraud, security, or chargeback risk
- Harm other users or the integrity of the platform
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Material changes to payment or fee terms may also be communicated in the product where practical. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines
- Disputes should first be raised with us at the contact below
- If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the proper courts in the Philippines, unless mandatory law provides otherwise
